Blackboard Release 9 - Due September

A major upgrade to Blackboard software is Blackboard Learn Release 9. Release 9 is built around an improved user interface and a Web 2.0 environment including social and collaborative learning tools such as blogs, notification features, and supports new opportunities to sync Blackboard course information with external online sites like Facebook and mobile devices like the iPhone and the iPod Touch. CourseFeed + Facebook = Social Learning







Students go to class to both socialise and learn. CourseFeed combines actual learning content from leading learning management systems with the leading social network - Facebook. CourseFeed introduces learning content into the already thriving social network making time on Facebook productive. Blackboard Sync

Blackboard Learn for the Apple iPhone and iPod touch is an application that lets users receive notifications of changes and updates to their Blackboard courses and organizations in their iPhone or iPod touch mobile device. These include updates on new Assignments, Course Content, Study Group updates, Community Discussions, even Grades. Currently this application is only available in English and is available for download through the Apple iTunes App Store as of March 26, 2009.
